In the Studio, AL has been experimenting and shaping his sound since 1996. Following a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Assisted Sound Design and Sound Engineering, he quickly developed his swift programming skills along with his technical abilities which have led him to work with some of the best and most respectable DJ’s & producers in the Industry. Working under several aliases (The Suppliers, The Drunken Scientist, Zone 1, Biggy & The Happy Camper, The Fridge) have confirmed his diversity and originality in his craft. In 2001-2002, AL got his big production break and worked as a programmer and sound engineer for Angel Moraes (Hot & Spycy, NYC). Angel’s & AL’s remix of Laid’s “No More Games” was picked up by the now defunct Groovilicious Records NYC, hammered on every dancefloor in the world & playlisted by Deep Dish on their exclusive Global Underground Mix for Ministry of Sound Radio in 2002.

BiG AL - Barefoot Mixed CD -1999 (Ready Mix Records)
BIG AL released his debut mixed CD Barefoot in 1999 which won a J.P.F. Award for “Spread Love” (The Messengers Feat. Lisa Millet) as the best song on a dance compilation. Barefoot also received instant approval by the Media and reached the “# 1 TOP PICK CD OF THE WEEK ” in (The Hour Magazine MTL) followed by “2 Thumbs Up” reviews by several North American & Canadian music culture publications including (The Hour, The Mirror, Klublife, BPM Culture, Lotus, That, Nitelife, Nightlife, Nocturnal and Mixer) |
