Downkill
has sympathized with electronic dance music since the beginning,
when he had no idea that his remix under this name was going to
appear down under. However, it was a long way which led to this
point.
At
first, Leel-Ossy András got to know the world of dance music as
a consumer – he bought and listened to it as much as he could.
He arrived to techno which was a dominant phenomenon in his
taste and his work. This period brought the feeling of creating
his own music which proved to be a hobby for a long time, but
now it is a passion for him. Of course, he has always known
secretly that his music will reach the audience one day. And
finally, the long awaited moment arrived, and this proved him
that it was worth dealing with the organization of sound
frequencies.
His
remix was published which became the winner at the V-Sag remix
contest on Fiberline Audio. After the initial techno fever and
the wondering between different styles, he arrived at his mature
dk style which can be immediately heard in any of his
productions. Between the artists of Toes In The Sand Recordings
he published the prosperous Ready Cat, and Ready Cat Remixed EP,
which were supported by D-Fuse, Guillaume Nyckees, The Last
Atlant, Dean Facer, Perry O'Neil, Blue Room Project, Luis Diaz,
Pablo Roma, Deviant, and nearly the whole Balance crew…
His
technical development is due to a plenty of practice and the
learning of his profession. As a sound engineer new dimensions
opened, he could prove his technical side beside the artistic
one. His calling to music led him to the DJ booth where he moves
comfortably today. He performed at Budapest Parade beside some
bigger and smaller clubs as well, he also appeared in some
foreign countries. His own tracks and the tracks of his project
The Scrubz – written together with Soundsmith – were published
at several labels, and they are part of party life all around
the world. |
