There's something to be said about passionate people. They eat, live and breath the one thing they love above all other things. Dj turned producer Marcelo Cruz is just that. So passionate about music it is all, well most of all of who he is. The music he plays as well as produces all comes from his heart and soul. Not one to flash, not one to hang with the in crowd. Cruz stands on his own, only speaks when spoken to but as soon as he's behind the turntables he opens up. He lets the music speak for him, the tracks he plays and produces express how he feels and what he wants to say.

Born in Santiago , Chile and later relocated to Montreal , Canada . Cruz has had the best of a two world experience. South America is his home land and he takes the best of the Latin sound and infuses it with his North American experience. Very much influenced by Masters at work, Danny Tenaglia, Francois Kevorkian. Deep house is his sound but in his sets as well as his productions he does like to experiment. Musically he is open minded, working with a variety of artist's from a university educated classical pianist to a street smart vocalist. If the music has rhythm Cruz will want to hear it, play it, produce it.

Producing came naturally to Cruz it was the perfect way to challenge himself after djing for over a decade. He taught himself the computer programs he needed to make the best music as well as how to master his finished tracks in order to get the best sound quality.

It's passion that drives Marcelo Cruz, a genuine love for the music and especially for the underground, experimental, new age, deep house, electronic sound. There really is something to be said about passionate people and in this case it's something to be hurd.
