Ready Mix Records is proud to present its latest “journey into sound”: My Control by Darren Duvall originating from Texas. This solid effort first made waves back in 2006 as the very first release under the Green Dot Series, Ready Mix’s deeper musical perspective. My Control is a sumptuous, sultry and irresistible sonic odyssey.

The latest Ready Mix package offers four great remixes that will effortlessly melt into your mind. Each flavour is a beautiful tapestry of sound, combining deep house elements, tantalizing synth washes, thriving beats, dashes of soul and carefully layered aural images. My Control is as tangibly felt as it is spiritually lived.

At Ready Mix Records, we constantly push boundaries by promoting and representing artists hailing from the four corners of the globe. Our roster of remixers and producers is as colourful and as diverse as the music we advocate and believe in.

Holland’s Sebastian Davidson took on the first remixing duty. Over the years, Davidson hasn't simply been playing great music; he has been making it too. In addition to production credits on labels like Kinky Vinyl, Plastic City, Global Underground, Conya and Outside The Box Music, Davidson has provided remixes for top names like Scope, Robert Owens, Cass and Matthew Dekay. He’s been quoted saying: “…house and progressive are coming together in the modern sound from nowadays (…) It’s future house, mashing up minimal, trance and techno.” It’s no surprise that his brand of music is at the forefront of today’s hottest house tracks. Davidson’s remix is a brilliant, stylish interlude. Its deep and mysterious atmosphere instantly overtakes its listener. Even more captivating is the female vocal that is amplified and empowered by this new and intoxicating musical arrangement.

Daniel Kyo from Spain manned the second remixing mandate. With influences stemming from Ame, to Charles Webster, François Kevorkian, Osunlade, Dennis Ferrer, Theo Parrish, Llorca, Carl Craig, Atjazz & The Timewriter, it isn’t hard to see why Kyo’s remix is an intricate deep groove theory, jam-packed with stalwart beats and Kyo’s signature soundscapes we love and have grown accustomed to. With its infectious, Detroit deep-tech approach, along its fuzzy synth stabs and soul-infused rhythms, this remix offers layer upon layer of flawlessly incorporated sounds, bass and beats.

Last, but most certainly not least to remix this gem, is Murat Ozer from Turkey who intelligently and beautifully reinterprets My Control and makes it his own. Offering it in two versions, one remix with keys, and the other without. Ozer is best known for his deep minimal house overtures, his contemporary tech-house climaxes and profoundly delivered audible narrative on labels such as Connect Four and Tic Tac Toe. His musical acumen makes this lush, late-night affair a soothing contemplation, replete with wondrous, synthesized textures and heartfelt moments. Both of Ozer’s versions are sure to offer what is truly loved about house music, a musical path into the genuine and insightful.
